The UCI Mountain Bike Marathon World Cup took place from 2005 to 2008, before being abandoned and relegated to the UCI Marathon Series, a different concept from the World Cup as these were isolated competitions that received this status from the UCI but where there was no general classification or leader’s jersey.
The Marathon World Cup returns in 2023.
